PRP Hair Growth

Another useful application of PRP is to enhance dense and more even hair re-growth. Once a sample of your blood has been taken, it is put through a centrifuge machine to separate the plasma from the blood. This Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is transferred into syringes, ready to be injected directly into the sight

What is the Process?

A fine injection needle is used to inject the plasma directly into trouble spots on your scalp, which keeps discomfort to a minimum.

The doctors at SAL Clinic carefully identify all problem areas on your scalp through a detailed scalp analysis, after which a precise amount of plasma is injected into various parts of the scalp to stimulate optimal hair re-growth.

How Does it Work?

Today PRP for hair growth is one of the most effective and reliable non-surgical hair growth treatments available for men and women. Since the PRP is extracted directly from your own blood, it is 100% natural and works better than most medicine currently available for remedying thinning hair. As you are well aware, most people prefer not to have artificial chemicals injected into their bodies unless absolutely necessary.

How long does it take?

Your typical PRP treatment for hair growth can take up to 1.5 hours in total. First, we will take a small amount of your blood which takes between 5 and 10 minutes. This sample is run through a centrifuge machine so that the plasma can be properly separated from the rest of your blood cells; this can take a maximum of 40 minutes. You can conveniently wait in the reception area during this process. Finally, the plasma is injected into specific parts of the scalp which may require anywhere between 30 and 40 minutes.

Is it painful?

Even though majority of PRP treatment patients can undergo the procedure without anaesthesia, a topical numbing cream is applied beforehand to minimise any discomfort.

What is the recovery time?

There is no “down time” for PRP hair growth treatments – you can get right back into your routine immediately after the procedure

What can I expect after the treatment?

.You may experience mild redness and in rare cases, bruising around the affected area.

What is the after care?

Your doctor will provide you with comprehensive after care details after the procedure.
